Generations of Grace

Every child has grandparents, and Jesus was no exception!

Come! Join Saints Joachim and Anne on their journey through life from parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary to becoming the grandparents of Jesus.

Joachim and Anne have no formal place in Scripture. Except for the passing reference to Joachim’s derivative name “Heli” in the genealogy of Mary (Luke 3:23), the Bible is silent. But Joachim and Anne were a necessary part of the Holy Family. By reflecting on their lives, we can attain a deeper understanding of the Holy Family.

Generations of Grace is a three-week journey for Catholic grandparents. Each day provides a reflection on the lives and spirituality of Joachim and Anne, followed by a reflection that deals with the theme of Catholic grandparenting today.
